Yellow Eyes Release Hypnotizing New Single “No Dust”

0

Rising black metal stars Yellow Eyes have released a new single, “No Dust,” off their upcoming album, and it delivers all that black metal was born to be. As has become customary for the band, the album was recorded on their own, doing away with unnecessary embellishments for the sake of focusing on their raw talent.

The song starts off with a sinister, hypnotic riff that induces temporary insanity as it loops in the background. The band has created a dark and barren soundscape that I shit you not, was actually recorded in Siberia, because America isn’t trve enough. The vocals complement the atmospherics with anguished and tormented screams, striking a black metal frown on unsuspecting listeners. Fax machine recording quality? Anguished vocals? Desolate soundscape? Check, check, and check. All we need are some spikey armbands to deliver the final KO.

About the track, the band told Decibel Magazine:

“Will came back from another trip to Siberia a few weeks before we went into the studio, and he brought home a new series of field recordings that became vital to the shape of the album. You’ll hear a fragment of that in this track, as well as a plucked zither-type instrument made by our bassist, Alex.”

Yellow Eyes’ new album is entitled Rare Field Ceiling and is due out on June 28 via Gilead Media. If madness is what you desire, pre-order the album here.
