Slipknot Have Posted Another New Album Teaser

Slipknot are all about teases that don’t reveal much lately, but such is always the case with this band and, to be honest, isn’t it part of the fun?

So, while we’ve learned that a new Slipknot album is coming out on August 9th, and we know the band will be touring North America this summer with Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth (as well as a European festival run and some shows in Australia with Metallica), precious little information is available about that album or what Slipknot’s live show might look like. We don’t even know what the album’s gonna be called, fer chrissakes, although many have speculated it’ll be titled We Are Not Your Kind. A week or so ago Corey Taylor posted a very close-up photo of his new mask, though, so at least there’s that.

And now there’s this: thanks to a new video teaser posted on the band’s Instagram, we now know that a) the album will contain actual music, and b) the band will have road cases on tour with them that say “Slipknot.” That’s literally all we learned from the clip, which lasts all of five seconds. Breaking news! Unless you didn’t know that the album will be Slipknot’s sixth… then congratulations, you may have a future on Jeopardy!, although please don’t wager $666 in the final round.
