So… who won the office pool on when the new Tool album will be released? One would assume Corey Taylor correctly predicted the record’s release date, since he’s the Supreme Mortal at whose feet we all worship and he is correct 99.99999999% of the time. Alas, this is that .00000001%!

Kerrang! points out Loudwire points out that they went to last June’s Rock on the Range to ask musicians when they thought the new Tool album would be released… and Trivium got it right on the money: August 30. Sad losers who made incorrect predictions and now must live in shame forever include not just Mr. Taylor, but also Andrew W.K. and members of Avenged Sevenfold, Code Orange, and Greta Van Fleet. Also, members of Bullet for My Valentine, Atreyu, and Stitched Up Heart, but no one expected them to get it right; they’ve never gotten anything right.

Does this matter? No. No. Not even a little bit. So why did I post it? Well… you clicked on it, didn’t you, dumbass?
