Metal, Rock, Punk and Stoner: American Sharks Return From Hiatus with New Album 11:11

0

It’s been six years since American Sharks’ critically acclaimed, self-titled debut album landed them high-profile touring slots with the likes of GWAR, Clutch, Big Business, and Corrosion of Conformity. The Austin trio has finally returned after their hiatus and they haven’t skipped a beat.

May 10 marks the release of American Sharks’ new album, 11:11, and it’s equal parts heavy metal, classic rock, punk and stoner rock for when you’re feeling like sporting a mohawk and a battle vest at the same time. What American Sharks have done is grabbed the New York Dolls, Black Sabbath and the eternal energy of Keith Richards, stuck them in a blender and created a bomb-ass smoothie that hits the spot just right. Although this album doesn’t deliver the same brand of high-speed cocaine rock n’ roll as their self-titled, it takes a step in a grittier and fuzzier direction that’ll still have you chugging beer and passing around a spliff, because sometimes that’s all one really needs in life.

11:11 is out now via The End Records and can be ordered here. Stream the album in its entirety below.
