And the Title of the New In This Moment Album Is…

…Mother!

This according to one of the In This Momenteers who isn’t Maria Brink, in a new interview with Cutter’s RockCast (which was somehow not released in time to capitalize on Mother’s Day):

“The album is done. It’s called ‘Mother.’ I heard August-ish release — I don’t have a solid date to throw out there yet, but the summer. You can say August. We’re really stoked. This is our heaviest record since ‘Blood,’ I’ll say that too.”

Oh, is it your heaviest album since whenever? Is it really heavy, Not Maria? Boy, I tell ya, no metal musician has ever said that before. Now you’ve got my attention.

Kidding aside: despite my better judgment, I have enjoyed every ITM album since Blood. So hopefully Mother is another slice of painless-at-worst, fun-and-catchy-at-best pop metal.
