Torche Post New Song “Times Missing” and Add Summer Tour Dates

0

Just when I was starting to think Torche have begun repeating themselves a bit too much — previously released single “Slide” was fine but didn’t do much to change up the doom-pop formula the band has been trading in for the past decade — the Miami natives have mixed in a devastating curveball with their usual array of heat on their latest new track,”Times Missing” (while we’re rolling with the baseball metaphor, as long as Torche don’t take any cue from their terrible hometown Marlins they’ll be just fine). The song’s plodding pace lends credence to the “doom” part of their oft-used genre descriptor, lending an introspective, reflective mood to the track’s earnest subject matter which vocalist/guitarist Steve Brooks describes thusly: “‘Times Missing’ is a Jekyll and Hyde song about the nights you don’t remember, but everyone else does.” Woof. We’ve all been there.

Along with the new track, Torche have added some dates to their summer touring schedule, which now includes a couple of weeks with Baroness. Everything is posted underneath the “Times Missing” track embed below in one fell swoop.
