Ghost Post New Webisode Spoofing The Shining

Ghost have posted a new webisode (which they’re now spelling “webizodes” for some reason) that furthers the storyline between Cardinal Copia, Papa Nihil and Sister Imperator that’s been building for the past year-plus.

This episode (errr…. epizode?) is a tongue-in-cheek spoof of The Shining. While Cardinal Copia peddles a tricycle around the crypt halls, Papa Nihil takes the role of negligent father Jack and both of them experience bizarre hallucinations. Beyond that I’m not really sure where this is going, but a press release promises that this episode lays “the foundation for more backstory secrets yet to be revealed,” so I suppose we’ll find out in another couple of months.

Ghost are on tour in Europe right now opening for Metallica, and they’ll headline a North American arena tour this fall.
