Alter Bridge, the band that combines the best parts of Creed with a singer whose yarl doesn’t make you wanna gouge yourself deaf, have announced that they’ll release their sixth full-length studio album, entitled Walk the Sky, on October 18. You can pre-order it here. Here’s the cover art:

Alter Bridge Announce New Album and UK/European Tour Dates

Although it’s tempting to wonder if the album is Star Wars themed, none of its song titles suggest this to be the case*:

  1. “One Life”
  2. “Wouldn’t You Rather”
  3. “In the Deep”
  4. “Godspeed”
  5. “Native Son”
  6. “Take the Crown”
  7. “Indoctrination”
  8. “The Bitter End”
  9. “Pay No Mind”
  10. “Forever Falling”
  11. “Clear Horizon”
  12. “Walking On The Sky”
  13. “Tear Us Apart”
  14. “Dying Light”

I gotta tell you, folks, normally I find nothing interesting about song titles, but I’m dying to know what “Wouldn’t You Rather” is about. I’m hoping the end of that phrase is, “Listen to Literally Anything That Isn’t Creed?”

ANYWAY, the band has also announced a headlining run of Europe the U.K., which will kick off in November. Support will come from Sevendust and Shinedown. That’s a pretty solid bill! Watch, when Alter Bridge announces the U.S. leg of the tour, we’ll get stuck with, like, Breaking Benjamin or some shit.
