If you’re anything like me, the fact that Glenn Danzig’s feature film directorial debut, Verotika, is reportedly horror’s answer to The Room makes you wanna, like, yesterday. It premiered in Chicago last week and will be screening in Los Angeles next week… but now we know when it will be released to the general public!

Deadline reports that Cleopatra Entertainment will release the film on Halloween via VOD. There will also be screenings “in the weeks ahead” in select markets, including New York, San Francisco, and Austin, before the movie gets a physical Blu-ray/DVD release “by year’s end.”

Personally, I’m planning on hitting up one of those screenings if I can — not out impatience (well, partially out of impatience), but mostly because I think a movie as stupendously bad as this one is said to be is best enjoyed with an audience. At the very least, I think you’ll need to gather up some pals for a in-home group screening to really get the most entertainment value out of the movie’s accidental comedy.
