Slayer Show Date in Las Vegas Leaks, Final Tour Ever Announcement Imminent

0

Last week Slayer released a mysterious video full of allusions to graves, dying, the end, yada yada, leading fans to speculate that the band is getting set to announce the final leg of their final ever tour.

Now one of those dates has leaked out via Pollstar, which lists the band as scheduled to perform at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV on November 27th. Believe it or not, that date would be Slayer’s first stop in Las Vegas on their seemingly never-ending farewell run, so perhaps the plan is for this final leg is for the band to say “goodbye” to every last corner of North America they haven’t yet played since these farewell dates began in 2018. Interestingly, that would also include New York City; previous legs saw the band play both Long Island and New Jersey but not NYC proper, with some fans guessing one epic sendoff at Madison Square Garden is planned. There have also been rumors flying around for months that the band will play their last show ever in their hometown of Los Angeles, possibly on New Year’s Eve.

Primus’s Les Claypool let slip in an interview earlier this year that his band would be opening for Slayer’s last ever U.S. tour. Beyond that, various rumors have some combination of Ministry, Anthrax and Testament slated as openers, but none of that is confirmed.

We’ll presumably find out very soon. Stay tuned.
