Dead Cross Released from Police Custody in Texas, Issue Statement on Arrest

0

Earlier today we reported that two members of Dead Cross had been arrested while on tour in Texas. At the time we didn’t know why they’d been arrested… only that they had, via Instagram posts from the band members themselves.

The band’s publicist just sent out an official press release with a statement about the arrest and… we still don’t know why they were detained. We do now know that they “had their gear searched and were restrained during the inspection,” but they’ve “been advised by legal counsel not to provide further comment on the incident.”

The press release says that the band members were “were temporarily placed in police custody while in Houston on Aug. 15,” but it doesn’t say whether the incident shared on Instagram — Justin Pearson and Michael Crain in handcuffs — was the full extent of that custody. In other words, it’s not clear if they were taken to jail or if the “temporary” nature of the police custody was simply the photo shown.

At least they’re no longer being held and they’re doing alright. Further, the show will go on tonight in Austin! Rock n’ roll.

Here is the press release in full:
