No, I’m not endorsing this American indie flick that just opened last week:

Nor am I hyping this Chilean movie from a couple years ago:

I do think if y’all haven’t seen Super Size Me (starring Burley O), you should check it out:

And thus I would like to invite you to join me right past the jump for a little tribute to the SUPERGROUP.

Shall we?

CLASSIC ROCK SUPERGROUP JJJJAMM OF THE DIZZAY

Speaking of guitar heroes…

blind faith coverBlind Faith was one of the first ever rock n’ roll supergroups. Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce…it’s a regular who’s who of stellar and prolific shredmasters.

Seriously — all of these dudes have been in other very successful legendary outfits (including personal favorite Cream), and when they chose to get together to create what would end up being Blind Faith’s only album, their self-titled 1969 debut, they really recorded a truly wonderful album and a piece of rock n’ roll history.

Every tune is great, but I have always gravitated towards the album opener, “Had To Cry Today” — super-pure classic rock riffage into soulful wailing melody into groove-heavy solo section…sounds ’bout right to well represent this beautiful album.
