DID HORSE THE BAND MAKE A WICKED DECISION?
Friday, April 9th, 2010 at 11:00am by Axl Rosenberg
Well, here’s a story that caught me pretty off-guard. From The PRP:
“Los Angeles based NINTENDOCORE pioneers HORSE the band have decided to change their name a decade into their career.
Singer Nathan Winneke says, ‘After touring Africa for the last two weeks we have had some profound experiences and decided we wanted a name that better expressed how we feel inside. We felt that it was time for our name to start expressing genuine emotion. We felt for too long we have let people criticize us for our name alone and its abstraction. It has become clear to us after 10 years. Our new name is Wicked Decision. We want people to know we are serious about our music.’”
SHADOW GALLERY’S “GOLD DUST”: DORKIEST VIDEO EVER OF THE WEEK
Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 at 10:48am by Axl RosenbergEverything about “Gold Dust,” the new video by a band I’m not familiar with called Shadow Gallery, is so cheesy that just watching it will clog your arteries a little.
But that doesn’t mean I don’t kinda love it. It’s like Dream Theater, only with a less effeminate singer.
And, oh yeah, Will Smith’s dad is in it, which means that Will Smith’s dad has now been in a better metal video than Will Smith’s wife ever has.

THE METAL PRINCE OF BEL-AIR
Friday, October 24th, 2008 at 11:07am by Vince NeilsteinIt’s no secret that Will Smith is a big fan of metal; his wife, well, we’ll let one of the worst experiments ever in music slide. But this clip takes Smith’s (and Fresh Prince co-star DJ Jazzy Jeff) love of metal to a whole new level.

Thursday, August 21st, 2008 at 10:24am by Vince Neilstein
Things that are metal about this photo:
- Pink t-shirt.
- “I Love Metal”
- Pulling his own luggage.
- The Fresh Prince, WILL MOTHERFUCKING SMITH!
Jada Pinkett Smith of the band Wicked Wisdom was not available for comment.

WICKED WISDOM: ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIMENTS IN MUSIC, EVER
Friday, May 2nd, 2008 at 11:11am by Vince NeilsteinJada Pinkett-Smith’s Wicked Wisdom experiment will undoubtedly go down as one of the worst attempts at celebrity crossover into music ever in the history of man woman-kind. When Axl and I saw her on the second stage of Ozzfest that year (2005?) it was laughable; the band played to a crowd of metalheads with their backs turned to the stage and their middle fingers raised high — literally. The highlight came when Will Smith came out to stand on the side of the stage and show support for his wife.
Here’s the band performing live on Letterman. Mind-blowing.

WYKKED WITCH GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE MARILYN MANSON LOOK GOOD
Thursday, April 3rd, 2008 at 10:38am by Axl RosenbergHoly crap. I just saw this video for Wykked Witch’s cover of The Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams” on Blabbermouth and it makes me long for the days of Marilyn Manson riding on a pig while pretending to have heterochromia. Jesus, this is bad. I haven’t heard any of this band’s original material… and now I kind of don’t want to.

Also, am I the only one who keeps confusing this band with Wicked Wisdom?
