REVELATION OF THE DAY: RIPPER OWENS-ERA JUDAS PRIEST IS ACTUALLY PRETTY DECENT

I’ve avoided any Judas Priest albums with Tim “Ripper” Owens on vocals like the plague because, well, I always assumed they’d be as awful as Blaze Bayley-era Maiden. But I recently came across this totally ridiculous, completely awesome video for the Jugulator track “Burn in Hell,”* and the song has been stuck in my head ever since. And – sadly – that’s more than I can say for any song from Angel of Retribution, Rob Halford’s anti-climactic return to the band. Oh well. I guess I should just be happy that Halford can still bring it live.
