DARK NEW DAY ARE ACTUALLY RECORDING A NEW ALBUM

40

Dark New DayFresh off summer stints as hired guns for much needed cash grabs touring musicians for some of the shittiest bands in existence, the members of Dark New Day have finally reconvened in the studio to record a new album. After the jump, an update on the band’s MySpace page issued by guitarist Clint Lowery:

Wat up,
Just wanted to update everyone. We are officially recording the new DnD record. We’ve been here 5 days now. We’re in the middle of preproduction which is basically Dave Bendeth boot camp. The songs are sounding very good. Its good to be back in here after being gone soo long. I think at the end of this we’re gonna come out with something that will define us as a band. We’re also talking about maybe having a few guest appearances but it’s still a lil early for that. Thanks to everyone whos been patient and supportive. We really appreciate all of you and hope to see you soon. Ill give u more updates as we go.
God bless,
Clint(DnD)

As previously reported, drummer Will Hunt and guitarist Troy McLawhorn served as touring musicians for Evanescence this summer while Clint Lowery toured with Korn, temporarily filling the spot of departed rock star turned prosthelytizer Brian “Head” Welch. Dark New Day posted two new songs on their MySpace page earlier this summer, “Fist from the Sky” and “Hail Mary,” both of which are slammin’ tracks that would’ve fit right on on 2005’s Twelve Year Silence. Now that their summer tours are over and the band’s members can once again pay their bills, we are very much looking forward to more Dark New Day material.
