KILLSWITCH ENGAGE’S HOWARD JONES’ FIVE FAVORITE METAL COVERS OF ALL TIME: THE VIDEOS

70

The always clever, often hilarious Killswitch Engage singer Howard Jones has published a video on MySpace listing his Top 5 favorite metal covers of all time. Howard has impeccible taste in music (he cites Faith No More / Mike Patton whenever given the opportunity), so you knew his choices were going to be interesting — and he came up with some great ones. It’s interesting to note how his own vocal style echoes the singers of the bands he’s chosen here. Anyway, his choices are:

  • #5: Ryan Adams covering “Down In a Hole” (Alice in Chains) — [ed: who knew?? It’s really good, too.]
  • #4: Pantera covering “Planet Caravan” (Black Sabbath)
  • #3: Throwdown covering “Baby Got Back”
  • #2: H.I.M. covering “Wicked Game (Chris Isaak)
  • #1: Faith No More covering “Easy” (The Commodores)

After the jump, we’ve dug up the videos for all 5 covers! Click on through, to the other side.
