THE OCEAN U.S. TOUR DATES!!!
Thanks to MetalSucks reader Shiv for passing along the news that awesome-metallers The Ocean (awesome-metal being the genre pioneered by and solely occupied by The Ocean) have announced details for a U.S. tour after their European Spring trek. The configuration of the touring band is yet to be determined, seeing as approximately 269 musicians played on their excellent late 2007 release Precambrian — but regardless, we’re pretty fucking stoked about this news, which includes dates with Lair of the Minotaur, Intronaut, Kylesa, Withered and The Destro, each for various legs of the tour. From The Ocean’s MySpace bulletin:
“We will come over to the US and Canada in May / June for a full North American headlining tour! Oh yes, baby.
It’s not easy for European metal bands to tour in North America and we’ve been wanting to get over there for a long time, so we’re very happy that the extremely positive feedback that ‘Precambrian’ has received in Canada and the US finally makes it possible now.
The tour will start off May 21st with 3 shows in Canada and conclude on June 18th in Los Angeles, with support coming from Lair of the Minotaur, and Kylesa, Intronaut, Withered, and The Destro.”
