Madball‘s latest slice of hardcore heaven, Empire, comes out tomorrow on Good Fight! Since it’s THE LEGENDARY MAD-FUCKING-BALL, we’re gonna assume that you’re already stoked for it. As you should be. So here’s an early taste to slow your jonesin’ for another twenty-four hours: the new track “Invigorate.” WARNING: Listening to this song may cause you to want to punch someone in the face. So don’t play it around loved ones, okay?

2) BLACK SABBATH

Classic band through and through. Definitely a huge influence on heavy music. How could this band not be on anyone’s list? Need I say more? I had the privilege and honor to play on a fest with these guys in Europe. Definitely one for the history books.

1) METALLICA

I have to be honest, I’ve never been a “metal head.” I appreciate the genre like I appreciate so many styles of music! But metal is not my background. That said, this band, especially in their earlier years, personified the term “metal,” both musically and visually. They had a few really stand out records… obviously! And, what they’ve accomplished is nothing short of amazing. Good for them — they earned it. Don’t hate, people, you know we all like Metallica!
