VEIL OF MAYA’S “IT’S NOT SAFE TO SWIM TODAY”: THE PIANO COVER
Much like bootleg live recordings and Andy Rehfeldt-esque “Hey, that’s not how that’s supposed to sound!” videos, piano covers have become a staple of the metal community’s online video diet. But I don’t like this one of Veil of Maya’s “It’s Not Safe to Swim Today” as much as some of the others. Maybe it’s because even though I like Veil of Maya, I’m not as big of a fan of theirs as I am of Carcass, Mastodon, or Slayer. Or maybe I’m over piano covers.
Or maybe it’s just because there’s no hot girl in this one.
Could be any of those possibilities, really.
