GORGUTS TO BRING DEATH TO ALL

You’d think the organizers of the Death to All Tour would feel sufficiently satsified bringing together seven former members of Death (that would be Paul Masvidal,  Shannon Hamm, Bobby Koelble,Gene Hoglan, Sean Reinert, Steve DiGiorgio, and Scott Clendenin) and two top-notch guest vocalists (Obscura’s Steffen Kummerer and Abysmal Dawn’s Charles Elliott) to help raise awareness for the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. But, no — they just had to go and make this tour that much more unfuckwithable.

And so now comes the announcement that Gorguts will open all five dates on the trek.

Gorguts, who have always been awesome, but now include guitarist Kevin Hufnagel, bassist Colin Marston, and drummer John Longstreth, just to ensure that all other tech death bands seem that much weaker by comparison. FUCKING GORGUTS. So in case this tour wasn’t already considered unmissable, now you really are gonna feel like one sad piece of poo if you don’t make it.

And I’m totally just speculating here, but my first thought the second I heard this news was “Oh, hey, Lemay is a guitarist/vocalist, just like Schuldiner was, and just like Kummerer and Elliott are.” In other words, I wouldn’t be shocked if Lemay ended up performing with the headliners as another guest vocalist. I guess we’ll find out for sure in June.

Here are the tour dates again… there’s only five of ’em, so start saving up that gas and hotel money if you have to:
