ALLEGAEON FORMSHIFT INTO RELIGION-HATERS IN NEW LYRIC VIDEO

Speaking of the rising trend of lyric videos, today sees the release of yet another one, this time from Colorado’s Allegaeon.

I’ve already spent a good bit of time praising this band’s new record Formshifter (out today!) and we even premiered a track just last week, so the fact that you need to give this record a shot should go without saying at this point. But I’m really enjoying this new lyric video for “Behold (God I Am)”; it’s really well done from a visual standpoint. The lyrical topic is pretty straight-forward — the endless wars fought and lives lost in the name of religion — but this video got me to pay attention, which is more than I can say for the lyrics of 99.9% of the metal songs I listen to. And man, this song kicks ass from a musical standpoint too.
