Before there were blogs there were these things called magazines, and the only metal magazine we still get excited about reading every month is DecibelHere’s managing editor Andrew Bonazelli…

Some magazines simply set Photoshop on “tacky” to generate a cover with representatives from multiple bands. We actually try to cobble some pennies together to accomplish a legitimate photo shoot. Thus far it’s only happened for a very special occasion—our first-ever national tour. Of course, there have been a couple Decibel covers in which two or three folks from different groups have been in the room, and the last one needed to be beamed in: a Big 4 offshoot tour before the (offensively expensive) real thing happened, one of Summer Slaughter’s better lineups, and then, a zillion years ago, there was this, which nobody on earth can explain.

Today’s game does not involve you guessing which member on those last three covers wasn’t present for the shoot, although that would be kinda fun. No, it’s to announce that the August issue also not only spotlights musicians from multiple bands, but is our second official “they were all in the same place at the same time” cover. Here is an image of one of the three musicians—if you can guess who it is, as usual, it’s free T-shirt time. I know the degree of difficulty is particularly outrageous for this, but… fuck it, I have no justification. We’re just stingy assholes.
