FAN-FILMED GOJIRA LIVE FOOTAGE: ALMOST AS GOOD AS THE REAL THING

Gojira were absolutely incredible at both of their NYC headline shows earlier this month. How incredible? So incredible that after seeing them twice within one week we still didn’t feel satisfied. I need more!!!

Live videos from those two shows (and other stops on their brief headline tour) collected by SkullsNBones.com are the next best thing to more Gojira live and in the flesh. The fan-filmed clips confirm what I felt in person: the band sounded better at Santo’s Party House (no fault of their own; the tiny Studio at Webster Hall just couldn’t handle their massive sound!) but the energy in the room at Webster was unbeatable. Joe Duplantier told the audience to expect Gojira back in New York this winter — we’re guessing on the rescheduled Lamb of God / Dethklok jaunt, whenever that’s finally announced? — so be on the lookout. Can’t wait.
