EARLY GRAVES RIDE A “RED HORSE”

EARLY GRAVES RIDE A “RED HORSE”Early Graves’ new offering, Red Horse, is going to be a big one for these guys; it’s their first with new vocalist John Strachan (The Funeral Pyre) following the passing of Makh Daniels in a tragic van accident in 2010. But if the title track, which is now streaming at Pitchfork, is any indication, Early Graves are coming back with a vengeance.

This is the kind of song that makes me wanna burst through a wall, Kool Aid Man-style; it makes me picture heads popping off of necks suddenly and for no discernible reason, leaving a volcano of blood and a gory stump behind; it makes me wanna ride a giant horse (maybe like the one in the song?) through the ball pit at a Chuck E. Cheese on a Sunday afternoon. I guess what I’m saying is, I really, really dig this song.

Ride a red horse here. The album comes out October 30 on No Sleep and can be pre-ordered here. The band recently gave MetalSucks an exclusive in-studio diary, which you should check out here. And if you read this site next Wednesday, you’ll get some very, very exciting news about Early Graves. VERY exciting.
