YOUR FIRST TASTE OF NEW MUSIC FROM ANAAL NATHRAKH
Speaking of not complaining about cool bands releasing albums really close together: although Anaal Nathrakh’s excellent Passion just came out last year (read our review here), the band already has a follow-up, Vanitas, coming out next month. The title is Latin for “emptiness,” and, I just learned, can refer to “a type of symbolic work of art [like the above piece by Pieter Claesz]… [that] corresponds to the meaninglessness of earthly life and the transient nature of all earthly goods and pursuits.” And while that description might already have you intrigued, I’d wager you’ll wanna hear this puppy twice as bad once you’ve heard the new music in the album’s teaser:
So that sounds like it’s gonna kick major ass, no?
Vanitas comes out November 6 on Candlelight.
