SO NERGAL’S BOOK TRAILER IS PRETTY INTERESTING

Behemoth’s Nergal (y’know, as opposed to Nergal from The Golden Girls) has released a trailer for his forthcoming autobiography, Sacrum Profanum, and I sincerely have no idea what to make of it.

It’s beautifully shot (Metal Injection observes that it looks like “a fancy cologne commercial”), deeply silly, extremely provocative, undeniably pretentious, and wholly inspiring all at the same time. It’s like an anti-Christian version of Madonna’s Truth or Dare directed by Ingmar Bergman. It is the only instance of a book trailer that I have ever watched more than once. I can’t wait to read this thing.

Sacrum Profanum will be released in Nergal’s native Poland next month; if you speak Polish or just really wanna own it no matter what language it’s in, you can pre-order it here. The rest of us will have to wait for an English translation, which, sadly, has yet to be announced.
