BANANA HAMMOCKS AND BANANA PEELS IN THE STUDIO WITH REVOCATION

Revocation - Teratogenesis

That new Revocation EP we told you about last week, Teratogenesis, is coming sooner than you think: next week! It’ll be the first Revocation recording without founding bassist Anthony Buda — who split with the band earlier this year on good terms — and it’ll also be the first with bass badass Brett Bamberger (East of the Wall, Argonauts, ex-The Binary Code). Brett’s actually been with the band for several month already; he played with them on the U.S. Dying Fetus / Six Feet Under run earlier in the summer, is playing with them on the European Dying Fetus run right now, and that’s his sexy banana hammock we posted pictures of in the “Speedos, Piss and Beer” photo tour diary.

Brett’s presence in the band means three things: 1) infinitely more nakedness and exposed penises, 2) more Pringles, 3) increased frequency of general shenanigans, like the scene in the below studio video where he throws a banana peel at guitarist Dan Gargiulo and unleashes his patented madman cackle behind the camera.

Other things of note in this video: 23rd Best Drummer in Modern Metal Phil Dubois-Coyne ripping the drums a new arsehole, #1 Modern Metal Guitarist Dave Davidson tearing through a silky sweet guitar solo flawlessly (studio anxiety? what studio anxiety?) and several raw clips of new Revocation tunes. More on the new EP as we get it. Revocation just announced a U.S. tour with A Life Once Lost and KEN Mode in October, so you should check out dates for that here.

Teratogenesis,” by the way, is a medical term for the development of physical defects in an embryo.
