We “Love” this “Toxic Garbage Island”: Listen to Two Live Gojira Tracks!

Gojira @ Santos Party House NYC

In less than two shorts months the best live band on the planet (I said it!) will storm the U.S. along with Devin Townsend and The Atlas Moth (dates here). Anyone who saw Gojira on their brief summer headline run knows that the “best live band” statement is qualified; we had the pleasure (and I do mean pleasure) of seeing them in NYC twice within the same week, both shows packed, sweaty, intense and OH MY GOD SO FUCKING AWESOME. Check out our photos from the first show and a live video of the second show if you haven’t yet.

Side note: I am so pumped for The Atlas Moth to get this tour. I’ve been saying for years that they should be opening for bigger, more “mainstream” metal tours, and I am positive they will kill it and gain new fans every single night.

Back to Gojira: anyone that purchased VIP tickets for their upcoming tour got free downloads of two live songs from their show at Webster Hall on August 14th, 2012. No Clean Singing has posted both songs, “Love” and “Toxic Garbage Island,” which you should go and listen to here. They don’t quite capture the enormity of the energy in the room, but they come as close as any audio-only recording possibly could.
