Sign Our Petition to Nominate The Devin Townsend Project & Fear Factory’s ‘First Movement’ of Farts for a 2014 ‘Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance’ Grammy Award
Earlier today, we had the pleasure — nay, the PRIVILEGE — of hearing the ‘First Movement’ of farts from The Devin Townsend Project and Fear Factory. And after spending several hours marveling over this most magnificent and monumental of recordings, we knew what we had to do: everything in our power to make sure this splendid piece gets the recognition it deserves.
That’s why we’ve started The Petition to Nominate The Devin Townsend Project & Fear Factory’s ‘First Movement’ of Farts for a 2014 ‘Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance’ Grammy Award. We know it’s too late for the song to be nominated for this year’s awards — it’s not as though we expect The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to drop, say, Halestorm’s “Love Bites (So Do I)” from the list of current nominees (although we wouldn’t mind if they did that anyway) — but it is our opinion that it is of the utmost importance that the song be honored next year.
So, please, sign our petition, and ask your friends to sign, too. Once we’ve received 10,000 signatures, we’ll forward the petition to The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, who, surely, will have no choice but to be reasonable and nominate the recording.
Thank you for joining us in the forwarding of this important cause.
