Corey Taylor: No New Slipknot ‘Til 2015

Yesterday I said that Tool might have a case of Slipknotitis, but now it seems that Slipknot may have come down with Tooleukaemia.

In a new interview with Loud Wire, the ‘Knot/Stone Sour vocalist says that “I think we’ll start working on new music by probably next year… just kind of throwing demos together, maybe start working on a new album at the end of next year or maybe 2015.” Assuming that’s also when the album comes out, it will have been seven years since Slipknot’s last studio release, All Hope is Gone. Which is a long time! Think of all the things that will have happened during that time period:

  • A man married upon Hope‘s release will begin to feel itchy.
  • A baby born when Hope came out will now be walking and talking and wiping its own ass and playing doctor and contemplating its parents’ murder.
  • Brad Pitt will leave Tibet.
  •  The Faceless will have have gone through roughly five-hundred line-up changes.
  • Justin K. Broadrick will have recorded approximately 8,629,503 new albums for various different projects.

Total bummer, man. I can’t feel this… and I’m dying to feel this.
