Can Bloody Panda’s Yoshiko Ohara be Totally Boring on Her Own?
Yoshiko Ohara, lead vocalist for Bloody Panda, has announced the release of her first solo album, Wringing in our Wrists. Bloody Panda’s music is the aural equivalent of this painting, but since Ohara’s visual art (such as the piece in the photo above) isn’t totally soporific, I was optimistic that Wrists might be, like, I dunno, interesting.
If this performance video of a song from the album is any indication, however, my optimism will not be rewarded:
So if any of you feel like your life is really missing white noise and a woman babbling incoherently, but you don’t have access to the New York City subway system, it looks like Ohara has recorded the album of your dreams! I hope it brings you great joy, and that I never actually have to hear the entire thing.
Ringing in our Wrists comes out March 19 via Ice Level Music.
