Volbeat and King Diamond’s “Room 24” Available for Free Download

Well, I predicted that King Diamond would be the best thing about the new Volbeat album, and it’s looking like I was right!

The band has released “Room 24,” the song on which The King appears, for free download. Musicially, it’s actually not bad at all — I mean, they basically wrote a King Diamond song (or a Mercyful Fate song if you prefer) — and when Diamond is handling vocals, it rocks good n’ proper (Will the man’s falsetto ever not be unbelievably awesome?).  But Michael Poulsen’s Hetfielvis thing continues to drive me nuts. Kind of a bummer.
