Five Finger Death Punch Try to Make Their Own Use Your Illusions

So I just got a press release which begins thusly:

“Five Finger Death Punch has announced the band will release their fourth studio record as a double album in two installments with Vol. 1 hitting stores on July 23 and Vol. 2 scheduled for later this fall.”

And that’s as far as I got, because it’s very, very difficult to read through tears. They make the text look all blurry and stuff.

But since I can touch type, just let me say this: it’s no secret that FFDP are big Guns N’ Roses fans, and I suspect this is their attempt to make a Use Your Illusion. But I doubt they can write two albums with that kind of scope. That being said, I would be totally stoked to hear Five Finger Death Punch take a stab at something like “November Rain,” because I’m sure the results would be hilarious.

FFDP will debut a new song at the Revolver Golden Gods tomorrow night. My condolences to those attending.
