New Dream Theater Album Art Takes You to the Dark Side of the Moon

I wouldn’t say I give zero fucks about Dream Theater… depending on my mood, I think I give roughly a half-fuck to maybe even one full fuck. I mean, I’ll listen to their new single when it comes out. I’ll even go see them live if they tour with other metal bands (that Prog Nation thingy they did with Opeth and Protest the Hero was pretty rad). So I have invested at least a bit of fuck in this group.

That being said, the album art for their forthcoming self-titled release is boring as fuck. It’s like they looked at the cover of Sevendust’s Black Out the Sun and decided it was too colorful. I know there can be beauty in simplicity, but this is actually not simple enough to qualify for that honor. Mostly, it makes me wanna watch 2001. So I guess that’s a good thing?
