Here’s the Studio Version of Trivium’s “Strife”
A couple of weeks back, Trivium debuted a new song, “Strife,” live. I didn’t love it then, and, alas, the newly-released studio version of the song does nothing to change my mind. It’s not terrible (although I don’t understand what Matt Heafy is doing with his voice at the start of each verse, and the synchronized whispering is pretty cheesy), but there’s nothing special or memorable about it, either. It’s perfectly average. Alas, average is pretty boring.
“Strife” will appear on Trivium’s Vengeance Falls, which comes out October 15 on Roadrunner.
