You Don’t Need a “Polygon of Eyes” to Watch the New Scorpion Child Video

Although the lyrics are deeply confusing (If he lives on the mountain, why does he have to dream of the open sky? Can’t he just, like, look up and see it? Is the mountain too foggy or something?), you’d hafta be deaf not to recognize the catchiness of Scorpion Child’s “Polygon of Eyes.” There’s nothing at all original about it — vocalist Aryn Jonathan Black is a dead ringer for Robert Plant, and as Vince commented, “What’s different/special/spectacular about this band as compared to other similar bands like The Answer, Silvertide, Gypsyhawk, etc?” — but DAT HOOK. If these dudes ever did a tour with Rival Sons, I’d go.

Check out Scoprion Child’s video for “Polygon of Eyes”  below. This should go without saying given what these fellas look like, but the clip is best viewed through marijuana-colored glasses (uh, not that I’m speaking from experience of anything). The song appears on Scorpion Child’s self-titled debut, which is out now on Nuclear Blast.
