Watch All of “Master of Puppets” from Metallica’s Through the Never

We’ve gotten some behind-the-scenes looks at Metallica’s Through the Never, and now we get to see the real deal — sorta — with the entire performance of “Master of Puppets” from the film.

The live footage is intercut with shots from the film’s narrative plotline, our first real taste of that part of the movie. Except the way they’re cut in here makes it seem like this is not how it appears in the actual movie; rather these are sort of the “greatest hits” of the plotline shots, and this video clip functions as a kind of trailer. Which is cool I guess because we get to see more of what said plotline has in store than we might if this segment were lifted straight from the film, but I find myself distracted every time it cuts away from the rockage Metallica are bringing from the stage. I kinda just wanna watch the live stuff and focus on that. The concert shots are absolutely gorgeous, and I’m stoked to see them on the big screen (and in 3D!). The other stuff… I really don’t know, man, I’m skeptical.
