Deftones Have “Romantic Dreams” of Some Kid Skateboarding

The Deftones have unveiled their video for the song “Romantic Dreams,” and holy shit is it ever boring. Basically, it’s just this kid skateboarding. A lot. Sometimes he falls down or whatever but he never really gets hurt. He’s clearly very good but none of the footage shows the kind of amazing stuff that would make you forward the video to all your friends. There is no narrative. It’s really just this guy skateboarding for five minutes.

Really, none of it suggests either romance or dreams to me.
