Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil Might Be on The Celebrity Apprentice

Big Money for Motley CruePoison’s Bret Michaels has been on The Celebrity Apprentice twice, and actually won once, which isn’t that surprising because someone from within that band must have had a decent head for business or they never would have gotten off the ground in the first place. (Slightly off-topic but still hilarious: when he lost during his second appearance, he wept.) Now the Las Vegas Review-Journal is reporting that “Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil has been telling friends he’s heading for Donald Trump’s boardroom as a member of Celebrity Apprentice.” Neil has a penchant for telling the Vegas media things before they’ve officially been announced, so I’d wager that if the author, self-proclaimed “eye-patched man-about-town” Norm Clarke, says Neil is telling peeps he’s gonna be on The Celebrity Apprentice, he’s gonna be on The Celebrity Apprentice.

Two thoughts about this:

  1. I don’t see Neil duplicating Michaels’ success. Although he’s presumably at least a semi-savvy businessperson (he’s been participating in ventures such this classy Vegas gentelmen’s club since at least the ealry 90s), if we’re being realistic, the producers have as much say in who wins these things as anyone else does (if not more), and they’re not gonna wanna give the contest over to another hair metal vocalist. Also even if legit business people did decide who wins, Donald Trump is not a legit business person.
  2. I’m not going to watch this, but if they somehow managed to do a season of The Celebrity Apprentice with both Neil AND Michaels, I would TOTALLY watch every single episode (at least until one of them was fired). In fact, if they could do a season of Celebrity Apprentice that is to hair metal singers as The Expendables franchise is to aging action stars, that would really make my [amount of time that show was on the air].

Next big question: who will Neil’s competitors be???
