The Fifth Annual “Run MetalSucks for a Day” Contest: 24 Hour Re-Vote to Begin on Monday

Dear readers,

We know we were supposed to announce the winner of the fifth annual “Run MetalSucks for a Day” contest this morning.

However, it has come to our attention that a couple of the nominees may have collected votes unfairly via bots and other such high-tech shenanigans.

After some investigating, we concluded that at least one of these nominees — and possibly all the nominees — involved in such chicanery were actually unaware of what was going on, and were the beneficiaries of friends who went a little too far in trying to help them.

After much discussion amongst ourselves, we have now decided that the only fair way to make sure that the victor wins via actual votes and not cheating is to have a twenty-four re-vote, during which time a MetalSucks Mansion Monkey will be closely monitoring the vote at all times for fraud; any contestants whose votes skyrocket in a matter of minutes will be disqualified.

The vote will take place for 24 hours beginning on Monday, October 28, starting and ending at midnight. The official, final, uncontested winner will be announced immediately thereafter, and will run MetalSucks this Friday, November 1, as originally scheduled.

Thanks for bearing with us through this soap opera of an election. Hey, it’s almost like we’re the actual government or something!
