It May Not Be Five Years Before the Next Shai Hulud Album!!!
Shai Hulud have made four full-lengths in sixteen years. In case you’re bad at math, that’s an average of one album every four years. Not the longest some bands make their fans wait for new material (FOR FUCK’S SAKE, TOOL), but that still feels like an eternity when you’re talking about a band as quality as Shai Hulud.

Of course, this doesn’t mean it won’t take Shai Hulud another few years to release an album… but it’s a good sign, no?
In related news, Shai Hulud’s most recent release, Reach Beyond the Sun, just came out in February on Metal Blade, and is awesome. So like yeah get on that shit.
