Chimaira Announce Tour, Release New Live Video

Chimaira Celebrate the Chaos NA TourChimaira — whose most recent album, Crown of Phantoms, was my sixth-favorite of 2013! –have released a new live video for their song “Year of the Snake” (which is actually from 2011’s The Age of Hell) AND a whole buncha new tour dates for January and February. Furthermore, they’ve promised to break out some deep cuts from their back catalog on this tour; when I saw them live a couple of months ago, they teased playing “Sp Lit” from 2001’s Pass Out of Existence and the crowd went apeshit, so I’m gonna predict right now that that song’ll be in the new setlist. What else? I personally feel like the self-titled album never gets enough live love, and there are definitely some songs from the back half of The Impossibility of Reason that would be worth dusting off (“Eyes of Criminal,” anyone?). Some b-sides like “Army of Me” and “Indifferent to Suffering” would be amazing, but now I’m probably really pushing my luck. I dunno, I really have no idea! SO SUSPENSEFUL!!!

Anyways, here’s that “Year of the Snake” video…
