LIsten to Nearly Ten Minutes of Music From Periphery’s New Clear Record

Periphery - Clear

In early December Periphery gave us three minutes of new music from a brand new “experimental recording” they’ll be releasing in January called Clear. “Experimental recording” because it isn’t quite an album, it isn’t quite an EP and it’s definitely not a single… and yet it certainly exists! It djents, therefore it is. Now, two weeks before Clear‘s January 28th release, the band has given us a full ten minutes of audio by way of iTunes previews. Check it out below.

if you’re just tuning in: Clear contains six tracks — one penned by each of the band’s six members — plus an “overture” that combines them all. The idea to write a record like this originated with Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter when the two bands toured together in early 2013. Read all about Clear and its genesis in this Gear Gods interview with Periphery guitarist Jake Bowen.
