Ulcerate Will Destroy All of North America This Spring
So I didn’t love the new Ulcerate album Vermis as much as I did Destroyers of All; big whoop, band is still one of the most exciting up-and-coming metal bands on the planet right now, and their live show in Brooklyn nearly two years ago was so intense it inspired a dude to puke in the middle of the pit. Which in turn inspired a passive admirer to post a hilarious Craigslist “Missed Connection” post about said puking incident. I could watch Jamie Saint Merat for days, and I too might be made to spew from the sheer intensity. Wins all around, except for the part where the band’s gear was stolen overnight after that show.
Hopefully Ulcerate don’t suffer the same luck (and maybe invest in a little extra security) when they come back to Brooklyn as part of their recently announced North American Tour with Inter Arma this coming May. Metal Injection and The Mighty Scoop are sponsoring the trek, which will run for 19 shows including Maryland Deathfest, three in Canada and several on the West Coast (that three-day drive from Sacramento to Philly, though!). Inter Arma are another tremendous live band, so make sure you get there early enough to catch them. Dates below.
