Aborted Pile “Coffin Upon Coffin”

I share Axl’s sentiments that Aborted can really be hit or miss: at their best they bring crushing, no frills, old(ish)-school death metal, and at their worst their music can feel a bit stock, which is really not such a bad thing anyway.

Welp, so far Aborted are two for two in the former category when it comes to songs from their new album The Necrotic Manifesto: the title track is an absolute thrasher, and a new song called “Coffin Upon Coffin” that’s a bit more groove-oriented brings the riffy goodness in all the right ways.
