Killer Be Killed’s new jam is called “I.E.D.”, which stands for “Improvised Explosive Device,” a phrase which is not only screamed repeatedly during the course of the song, but which also accurately describes its general vibe. It has a melodic section in the middle, but even that feels pretty scary, like there’s something lurking, watching you. Unsurprisingly, given the involvement of Max Cavalera, the song has a Sepultastic feel to it, which is bound to make it one of the more popular tracks from the album. It’s also pretty cool to hear The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Greg Puciato screaming his guts out over some straight-up thrash. And the way he, Cavalera, and Mastodon’s Troy Sanders pass around vocal duties flows really well.

The final fifty-seven seconds are my personal favorite part of the track, though. Why, you ask? Two words: MARCHING. ELEPHANTS. Never gets old, bruh.

Check out “I.E.D.” here. Killer Be Killed’s self-titled debut comes out May 13 on Nuclear Blast. You can read MetalSucks’ official review here.
