Exclusive Premiere: Allegaeon, “Threshold of Perception”

Allegaeon - Elements of the InfiniteElements of the Infinite is the third album you want all promising young bands to write. Allegaeon’s 2010 debut Fragments of Form and Function put them on the map as a potentially interesting band on which to keep an eye. Formshifter followed in that vein in 2012, an improvement to the still very much work-in-progress formula. With Elements of the Infinite, it feels like Allegaeon have finally arrived, and “Threshold of Perception” — the album’s opening track — is the perfect microcosm of everything there is to love about it: expertly crafted arrangements, orchestrations composed by guitarist Greg Burgess and Joe Ferris (among a whole bevy of neo-classical elements), RIFFS, epic guitar solos and hooks.

Stream “Threhold of Perception” below. Elements of the Infinite comes out on June 24th via Metal Blade and can be ordered here.
