Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Opens Up About Depression and Suicide Attempt in New Video
The You Rock Foundation seeks to serve a function all of us at MetalSucks can fully get behind: to serve as a safe haven for those who have suffered or are currently suffering from depression and/or suicidal thoughts. Using music as a backdrop, You Rock seeks to pull those suffering out of the dark and show them the possibilities of moving forward with life.
The Foundation’s very first video is a deeply personal interview with Corey Taylor in which the Slipknot / Stone Sour frontman opens up about his past struggles. Corey shares stories about his teenage years, his depression, and his suicide attempt in hopes of fulfilling You Rock’s mission of empowering those suffering with depression and suicidal thoughts by sharing his personal demons and preaching positivity. You Rock promises interviews with members of Killswitch Engage, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Anthrax, All Shall Perish and many more in the near future — more info here.
