Killswitch Engage Guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz’s The Price is Right Prizes to Suffer Cruel Fate
A few weeks ago, the metal world rejoiced as Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam D. became the Ken Jennings of The Price is Right:
Unfortunately, as is too often the case in life, if it seems too good to be true, that’s because it probably is.
During a new interview with Jamey Jasta for the Hatebreed frontman’s podcast, Dutkiewicz reveals that he’s probably going to sell all of his prizes, because with them comes a whopping 30% tax. Given the fact that Dutkiewicz won multiple vehicles, that’s gonna end up being a hefty chunk of change.
Still, it’s not like Dutkiewicz got nothing out of the deal; I mean, whatever he gets for his prizes is more than he would have had otherwise. It’s still free money. He just won’t get to be like “Oh, yeah, you like my car? I won it on The Price is Right. NBD.”
Here’s the entire interview with Jasta, which also includes a lengthy description of Dutkiewicz’s entire experience on the game show:
