God Damn - VulturesI listened to “We Don’t Like You,” by the UK duo God Damn, because the title of the song strongly suggested it would be about subject matter to which I can relate on a deep, personal level. The fact that the song turned out to be really, really, really catchy was almost just, like, a sweet bonus.

What does God Damn sound like? Imagine Queens of the Stone Age at their heaviest, with lead vocals by Rob Zombie if Rob Zombie could resist screaming “YEAH!” for more than five seconds.

If that sounds appealing, you can check out “We Don’t Like You” below, courtesy of Brooklyn Vegan. It will appear on God Damn’s new album, Vultures, which comes out May 12 on One Little Indian. The band also has some U.S. appearances coming up at SXSW and Jesse Malin’s Niagra in Manhattan; you can grab those dates after the Soundcloud player.

God Damn’s U.S. Dates:
Mar 18 – Austin, TX – Latitude 30 – British Music Embassy – 3pm
Mar 18 – Austin, TX – Lambert’s – SESAC Showcase – 1am
Mar 22 – Austin, TX – The Carousel Lounge – Gutbucket Brunch – 3pm
Mar 24 – New York, NY – Niagra – w/ Clean Teeth
